Carnations come in a wonderful array of  colors and is a very affordable flower.  With a little imagination, you can turn this simple flower into an beautiful boutonniere.

Insert a wire from both sides to create a longer stem that is flexible.

Bend the wires down parallel with the original flower stem.

Tape with green floral tape, stretching and turning the flower as you go down the stem.  Good tape is slightly sticky and will cling to itself when pulled slightly.
