Wedding Boutonnieres
Wedding boutonnieres are a reflection of the flowers that are carried by the bride and her bridesmaids. You may choose to make the groom's boutonniere unique with the addition of another flower, accent treatments or a different color.
Many times the prices are better if you buy an assorted lot of mixed greenery and used different leaves as backdrop for your boutonniere flowers. To create a look similar to this rose boutonniere, you will need the following:
- 1 Bright Red Rose
- 1 Stem White Spray Asters
- 2 Green Pittosporum Leaves
- A few sprigs of Mini Myrtle
- Red Ribbon
- Fine Silver Wire
- Florist Knife
- Finishing Touch or Crowning Glory
Floral design always starts with the processing of your wholesale flowers. The recommended products are important to a DIY bride, as you don't have the advantage of storing your designs in a walk in cooler with built in humidity like a florist has.
The products are reasonably priced and will go a long way on keeping your flowers fresh and beautiful up to and through your wedding day.

Once your boutonniere is finished, mist well with a flower sealant and store in your refrigerator until needed. Store in a box if possible, as household refrigerators are designed to pull moisture out of the contents, rather than put it in like a florist cooler.
