Red Rose Wedding Bouquet
Our red rose wedding cascade is going to contain a lot of different greenery. Pittosporum is a lovely greenery with rounded, waxy feeling leaves. They come in both variegated (shown below) and solid green varieties.
Pittosporum has heavy thick stems. It is sometimes too tough to cut with a floral knife. I use bunch cutters or heavy branch cutters to cut individual laterals (branches) apart.
The more slender laterals (stems) are thinner and easier to cut individual, but they can dull knives. I generally use branch cutters on this as well. Please don't use regular household scissors - it dulls them and can easily slip and cut fingers because of the amount of force you have to use.
Strip off the bottom leaves if necessary to leave about an inch of clean step to insert in to the foam.
