The first stem of alstroemeria I cut apart and placed separately in my pumpkin centerpiece.  

This stem, however, I'm going to leave a mass flower, giving a clustered look.

I cut the stem a little long, so that the flower heads would cluster about level with the large headed sunflower (focal flower).

You can begin to see the rounded shape that the design is taking.
