I bought a few artificial Christmas picks that contained some prewired pine cones. Individual cones can easily be wired if yours are not already prepared as shown below.
Simply wrap green wire around the bottom of the cone and wrap down tightly and create a stem that can be taped with floral tape.
Tuck the pine cones in an opening of the flowers here or there.
It doesn't take but a few cones to add a festive air to the finishing of this simple design.
Nestle it under among the holly leaves for a contrast the the bright red hypericum berries.
Taking an overall look of my finished design, I finish off by tucking in an extra leaf or two, or perhaps bit of shiny ribbon loops.
Look your designs over carefully from every angle, as these designs are often inspected from the sides as people are seating around the table on which it rests.
