Dendrobium Orchids are separate florets on a long, single stem.  Start by washing your hands, as the oils from your fingers can bruise delicate white petals.

Rinse each long stem, immersing in a cool water bath and allowing to rest in for maximum water absorption.

Cut many florets off the stem and allow to rest on paper towels to dry.  Leave the slender green stem attached.
