This church wedding decoration is now firmly secured to the stand and I will move on to begin the fresh greening process.
Leather leaf fern comes 20 - 25 stems per grower's bunch, so one bunch should cover this wreath. The slender stem supports several laterals that can easily be cut apart. Strip off the lowest leaves on the later so their is a stem to insert into the foam.
I begin greening in the on the foam. I put them in at about 45 degree angles (like a slanted insertion) around the outer perimeter of the wreath.
Continue to green in as shown in this photo. I want a large presence on this candelabra, so a flower wreath accomplishes this - yet can be easily transported separately in a van or car.
Don't stop until all the green foam is covered with the leather leaf fern. If you want only one type of green, fill it in until the foam doesn't show easily. I plan on adding other varieties, so I kept this greening in on a loose basis.
