Christmas centerpieces are fun to make. After the season is over, browse the clearance aisle to stock up for creating your own centerpieces next year. A lovely look can be obtained by using a vase surrounded in wrapped candy canes. Some of the tutorials I've seen on the internet involve using a glue gun and attaching each candy cane painstakingly piece by piece.
Unfortunately, if you are creating centerpieces in volume (like in a flower shop) you rarely have time to daintily glue one piece of candy at a time. For florists time is money (literally).
You can adapt this for square or round cylinder vases. It will not work on curved vases.
