There are so many different types of evergreens, it's hard to show them all.  Shrubs of yew are popular in my area and I have a plentiful supply whenever I get the holiday spirit.  

I just snip around the backsides of the shrubs and it doesn't harm them a bit!

I separate the stems out into smaller snippets of greens to be inserted a few at a time into the flower design.

The darker green of the yew contrasts nicely with the blue-green of the spruce.

Now I'm ready to insert some boxwood for a totally different texture and a lovely fresh scent.
