autumn centerpiece
This autumn centerpieces is very quick and easy to assemble. Always be sure to read through the steps of processing your bulk wedding flowers. Please don't skip the floral products. A DIY bride doesn't have the advantage of a large professional cooler. These products will extend the life of your wedding flowers. Don't worry - good flowers straight from the farm will last an average of 5 - 7 days IF you process them and care for them properly as a professional would.
For this design you will need fall colored flowers and some common florist supplies.
Hard Goods:
- White Floral Clay
- Crystal Clear Flower Food
- Oasis Clear Tape
- 1/2" of a 6" Oasis Sphere
- 4" (or taller) candlestick
- 1 7.5" clear glass plate
- Finishing Touch or Crowning Glory Flower Sealant
Fresh Flowers:
- 4 stems Light Peach Standard Roses
- 4 stems Green Amaranthus
- 2 stems Yellow LA Hybrid Lilies
- 2 Orange Gerbera Daisies
- 2 Cherry Brandy Roses
- 2 Orange Roses
- 2 Orange Alstroemeria
- 2 Red Hypericum Stems
- 2 stems Red Viburnum Berries
Greenery:
- 10 Galax Leaves OR 10 Salal leaves OR 2 stems Leather Leaf
- 3 maiden hair fern
- 2 seeded eucalyptus
You can quickly make your own compote dishes by using a clear taper candlestick holder and a small dessert plate.
Rim the top of the candlestick with white floral clay. It is very sticky and holds glass to glass with a very strong grip. Then center the plate above the candlestick and press down firmly.
Cut the oasis foam sphere in half and float soak in water treated with Crystal Clear Flower Food.
Dry the edges of the plate and secure the half sphere to the plate with clear florist tape. Cross over the sphere several time and overlap under the edge of the plate. The plate must be dry or the tape will slide off.
Design your flowers and mist well with a flower sealant such as Finishing Touch or Crowning Glory.
