Beautiful aisle decorations create a lovely silhouette of flowers as the bride makes her way down during the wedding march. Keep in mind that all these flower designs can be made in different colors to suit your own wedding palette. Choose flowers for the look - not simply the colors of the flowers.
To create a similar pew decoration, you'll need the following hard goods and fresh flowers:
- 2 Red Hypericum
- 1 Orange Gerbera Daisy
- 1 Purple Statice
- 2 Foxtail Fern
- 1 Smilax Strand
- 2 Yards #9 ribbon
- 1 Green Chenille Stem
- Green Stem Wrap
- 1 Water Tube/Pew Clips
- Finishing Touch or Crowning Glory Flower Sealant
While the greenery and statice are pretty hardy, it's wise to use a water to on a Gerbera Daisy to keep fresh all through the wedding service. Cut the Gerbera to the height and then tape the other flowers around it with green stem wrap. Insert the Gerber inside the water tube and wire the Smilax to the pew clip. Make a 4 loop bow and attach it to the pew clip with a chenille stem. Allow long lengths of the ribbon to dangle down over the Smilex.
Once finished, mist well with either Finishing Touch or Crowning Glory and set aside. Keep in cool, dark room or refrigerate if possible.
